The Seattle-King County Advisory Council on Aging & Disability Services and The Central (also known as Central Area Senior Center) are hosting “Alzheimer’s 101,” a community health forum featuring Bob LeRoy, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association of Western and Central Washington.

The forum will take place on Friday, March 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Central (500 30th Ave. S.).

Caregivers and family members are invited to attend the forum for better understanding of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia; resources, tools and tips for dementia care; and information about culturally competent care.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide printed materials and other resources.

A low-cost lunch is available; for lunch reservations (recommended), call (206) 726-4926.
