The owner of the Greenside Recreational cannabis shop on Lake City Way Northeast claims arson caused the fire that hit their shop the morning of Jan. 24.
Seattle firefighters responding early Tuesday morning extinguished a fire in the basement of the Lake City marijuana shop.
The owner of Greenside Recreational called 911 to report smoke and flames coming from the basement, where there remodeling work was being done. Firefighters arrived shortly before 1:30 a.m.
The fire was quickly put under control and there were no injuries, fire officials said.
Hours later, the operator of the business's Facebook page posted that the fire was electrical and the incident was "starting to look like arson."
The business is offering a reward "up to 10k" for information leading to an arrest.
